Abiding. Presence. Performance. Intimacy. Innovation.

I know it's on the screen, but let me read it to you again. We obsess over methods and models, but intimacy with Jesus will always produce more fruit than any method ever will. Let me get you to maybe write down this.

If you put abiding, put abiding in your journal, then draw an arrow and right next to that arrow, then write activity. Abiding first will lead you to the right activity. Underneath those words, then write presence.

I'm from the south, so that may sound like birthday presents, but his presence. Presence. Sitting in the presence of God.

Draw an arrow. Then write the word performance. When you sit in the presence of God first, then your performance will be at peak performance.

Then I want you to write underneath those words intimacy. Draw an arrow. Then write innovation.

The best innovator is Jesus himself. When we have intimacy with our heavenly father, he will give you the innovation you need to reach the people in your context. You see, when the branch disconnects, the fruit may hang for a season, but the life is already gone.

We're not seeing disciples make disciples in America anymore because we're disconnected from the vine.
